About this Event
The Beatles' "studio years" span from1966 to 1970, beginning when the band stopped touring and focused entirely on groundbreaking work at Abbey Road Studios. The Beatles stopped public concert performances in 1966 due to overwhelming fan noise and technological limits of live sound.
Free from touring, the band spent months in the recording studio experimenting with sound. The group added Indian sitars, full orchestras, tape effects, and random noises into pop songs. Albums like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album, and Abbey Road were designed strictly for the listening experience rather than live performance.
Join us as The Sutcliffes, Western Canada's Premier Beatles Tribute Band, walk us through those years with a wonderul evening of great Beatles music.
