Join us for a special musical storytime with debut author and opera singer Kate Goldbas, and Broadway star Jordan Fisher!
Created by opera singer, author and early childhood educator Kate Goldbas, I Wish That I Could Be a Whale is a interactive picture book and original song that turns storytime into a musical guessing game.
Jordan Fisher most recently appeared in Songs for a New World at the Eventim Apollo Theater in London. He previously starred as 'Christian' in the hit Broadway musical Moulin Rouge, ‘Bobby’ in the New York City Center Encores! production of Urinetown and as ‘Orpheus’ in Hadestown on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include ‘Anthony’ in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, ‘Evan’ in Dear Evan Hansen, and ‘Laurens/Philip’ in Hamilton. Jordan starred in and produced Netflix’s Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between and was one of the voices of 4*Town in Disney/Pixar’s Turning Red. He played ‘Mark’ in Fox’s "Rent: Live", and ‘Doody’ in Fox’s “Grease: Live!” @jordanfisher
Kate Goldbas is an opera singer, author and early childhood educator who created her debut picture book, I Wish That I Could Be a Whale, as a musical guessing game for her animal-loving son. Through school residencies and library concerts, the song has delighted thousands of children. Katelives in Connecticut with her husband, their two young sons and an impressive menagerie of animal figurines.
