About this Event
Jemima Puddle-Duck has a plan.
She’d like to hatch her eggs all by herself, thank you very much. So she puts on her best bonnet and shawl and waddles off to the woods, where a very polite gentleman with very bushy whiskers is delighted to help. What could possibly go wrong?
Storytime at the Opera returns this fall with Beatrix Potter’s most trusting duck. Join us for a musical retelling full of feathers, foxgloves, and just a little bit of suspense. Live singing, piano, and movement turn a beloved story into a child’s first taste of opera.
With storytelling by Gillian Hunter-Gibbs, soprano Eve-Lyn de la Haye, and pianist Perri Lo.
Perfect for little ones ages 5 and under and the grown-ups who love them. This free 45-minute session is designed to feel as cozy as it is captivating. There are cushions on the floor, caregivers are welcome to join in, and there’s no such thing as sitting too still. Waddling is encouraged.
Whether it’s your child’s first live performance or their fifth, Storytime at the Opera meets them exactly where they are.
Free to attend. Space is limited, so please reserve your spot.
