About this Event
Storytelling through Costume
How do costumes evoke period, place, and character? Why does costume design create such powerful narratives on screen? From shaping fashion trends to influencing cultural conversations, costume design plays a vital role in bringing stories to life for film and television. But how does a character move from page to screen? Join Amy Hare, Costume Researcher at University of the Arts London (UAL), and award-winning costume designer and UAL alumnus Anne Dixon (The Shrouds, Anne with an E, The Dead Don't Hurt) for an engaging conversation exploring the creative practice of costume design. Together, they will discuss how costumes help define character, communicate the story, and bring cinematic worlds to life.
