📚 STORY TIME AT THE ZOO 📚Calling all little readers and animal lovers! Join us on Tuesday, October 6 as we welcome our friends from the Oak Grove Public Library for a special Story Time at the Hattiesburg Zoo! 🐾
🕥 10:30 AM | Asbury Discovery Center Classroom (near the prairie dog exhibit!)
Kids and families will enjoy a story read by the Oak Grove Public Library team, followed by a fun hands-on craft activity. The program wraps up around 11:00 AM. Plenty of time to spend the rest of your morning exploring the Zoo! 🦒
This program is designed with our preschool friends (ages 0-5) in mind, but readers of ALL ages are welcome to join in the fun!
For the Oak Grove Public Library, taking Story Time beyond the walls of the library provides another opportunity to introduce children to books and encourage families to make reading part of their everyday lives.
“Story Time is about so much more than reading a book together,” said Deb Lovely, Branch Manager. “It helps young children develop early literacy skills, encourages their imaginations and creates positive experiences with books from an early age. We’re delighted to partner with the Hattiesburg Zoo and bring Story Time to such a fun and engaging setting for children and families.”
💲Price: Regular Zoo Admission is required and Annual Passes are accepted.
