Meet Franziska Liebig – Relationship Manager for Literature and Children & Young People at Arts Council England. She will talk us through the process and show you how yes, you can get funding!
Fran is a passionate advocate for reading for pleasure, as well as diversity in the arts and publishing, with a special interest in children’s literature. 'I believe all children deserve to see themselves in the stories they read,' she says. 'I work to support underrepresented voices across the sector.'
Bringing her long experience in cultural producing, project management and stakeholder engagement, Fran now advises organisations and freelance creatives on funding and strategy at Arts Council England.
She cares deeply about making the sector more equitable " I’m acutely aware of how tough it can be: for organisations navigating shrinking resources, and for freelancers simply trying to sustain their practice. I aim to offer support that’s both practical and caring, and to advocate for fairer conditions wherever I can."
