A community event led by Harley Street Hearing and EY, empowering professionals who are navigating hearing loss in the workplace.
About this Event

Hear Here was founded in 2016 by Harley Street Hearing and has since evolved into a vibrant network of professionals. Our goal is to support individuals with hearing loss by creating a space where they can connect with others who understand the realities of managing hearing challenges in professional environments.

The concept for Hear Here was originally inspired by a young patient experiencing progressive hearing loss who spoke about feeling isolated and disconnected from others facing similar situations. Hear Here aims to address that need by providing a supportive setting for open conversations about the challenges, achievements and experiences that come with hearing loss at work.

In a similar spirit, the EY Hearing Community (EYHC) was established to provide D/deaf and hard of hearing colleagues at EY with support, advice, and practical tips to help overcome barriers arising from hearing loss and to build successful careers at the firm. While progress has been made internally to unlock the potential EY colleagues hold, EYHC is also keen to share strategies with the wider D/deaf and hard of hearing community and to learn from others in order to help shape a better working world for people with hearing loss.

Last year’s event, hosted in collaboration with EY’s Hearing Community, was a fantastic success, bringing together around 100 attendees for an evening of connection, insight and inspiring conversation. This year we hope to build on that momentum and create an even more engaging and impactful experience. The event will feature keynote speakers covering a wide range of topics, including how technology in the AI space can be leveraged to overcome workplace barriers, as well as inspiring career journeys that highlight navigating the workplace with hearing loss. There will also be opportunities throughout the evening to expand your network and connect with like‑minded professionals.

The event will take place at EY London Canary Wharf Office, 25 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5EY on Thursday 4 June 2026 from 6:00pm onwards. Drinks and light food will be provided. The event will also include British Sign Language interpreters and a palantypist providing live transcription throughout the evening.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an inspiring community and help drive the conversation around hearing health and advocacy in the workplace forward.
