About this Event
Monday, September 28 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Set Up Location: Bartholomew N Tampa Playground
Before local artists transform storm drains into colorful works of art on October 1, volunteers will work alongside Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful staff to prepare the storm drains with a base coat of paint. This prep work will help create a clean canvas for the artists and bring attention to our local stormwater systems.
Volunteers will help prep storm drains at several locations in the Sulfur Springs area, including:
- Bartholomew N Tampa Playground
- Mann Wagnon Memorial Park
- The pond area near Osborne Avenue and N 30th Street
KTBB will provide all materials needed for the project, including paint, brushes, gloves, and water. Volunteers will also be provided with KTBB safety vests, which must be worn while working.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to earn volunteer hours while helping improve the community and protect our local waterways.
What to Bring
- Reusable water bottle
- Comfortable clothing that can get dirty or painted
- Closed toe shoes
- Sun protection
Come get the storm drains ready for their big transformation! We hope to see you there!
