The St Albert and Sturgeon chapter of Friends of Medicare invites you to join us at this FREE community event - Stolen Time: Movie Screening and Panel Discussion.
Stolen Time is a powerful 2023 documentary that follows elder rights lawyer Melissa Miller as she fights the corporate for-profit nursing home industry and exposes the system wrought with abuse and neglect. This award winning documentary has sparked political discussions, public awareness and a movement to support elder justice in Canada.
After the documentary film showing, there will be a panel discussion featuring Dr. Ben Macedo (local family physician) and Chris Gallaway (Executive Director of Friends of Medicare). We hope to educate and stimulate discussion on the impacts of healthcare privatization, especially on the elder care system.
If you’re concerned about the impacts of prioritizing profits over people and corporations over care and would like to learn more, come to our FREE event!
