About this Event
Stick&Bow - Marimba & Cello Duo
The Stick&Bow duo, formed in Montreal by two passionate and complementary musicians, was honored as “Artists of the Year” and “International Outreach” at the Opus awards for season 2022-2023. Known for their strong stage presence and authentic contact with audiences, Stick&Bow offer an eclectic repertoire with original arrangements that fuse marimba and cello.
Committed to contemporary music, they enrich their repertoire with commissions for new works by composers such as Luis Naon, Camille Pépin, and Luna Pearl Woolf. Stick&Bow recently completed a 40-date tour of France with Jeunesses Musicales France, performed at the Bach Festival in Montreal and the Festival du Bout du Monde in Gaspésie, represented Quebec at the Semaine de la francophonie in Colombia, gave 25 concerts in France in March 2023, participated in a chamber music festival in Argentina and toured Atlantic Canada with the support of Debut Atlantic.
