Stepping On has been researched and proven to reduce falls by 31%!Stepping On is a fun, 7-week workshop that helps us stay confident and continue doing the things we love. In just seven weeks, participants learn:
-To identify and remove fall hazards in your home and outside
-How vision, hearing, medication, and footwear affect your risk of falling
-Strength and balance exercises you can adapt to your individual level
-How to get back on your feet if you do fall
Pre-Registration Required - Call or stop by the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County to register by Friday, October 2nd.
Cost - FREE for adults 60 and over, with a suggested donation of $32 to help cover the cost of materials. There is a tuition cost of $32 for adults 59 and under to participate.
Local Guest Expert Speakers to be announced on the ADRC Facebook page beginning in September.
