Join us for a night of VEHICULAR MAYHEM to raise funds for our next-door neighbors, The Heavy Anchor, which was recently smashed by an SUV, and to raise consciousness about the dangers of Gravois. All ticket proceeds benefit The Heavy Anchor’s resurrection.
Representatives from the St. Louis Coalition to Protect Cyclists and Pedestrians will be on hand to help us imagine a safer St. Louis.
We extend a special thanks to Swank Motion Pictures for providing the film at a reduced rate!
Based on one of Stephen King looniest novels, John Carpenter’s Christine tells the horrific story of a 1957 Plymouth Fury, nicknamed “Christine,” which begins enacting violent revenge on anyone who wrongs its meek-mannered new owner. What could have been pure camp is rendered by horror master Carpenter as a lunatic rock ‘n’ roll nightmare, full of brutal kills, vicious attitude, and chrome-plated vengeance. Carpenter himself composed the film’s atmospheric original score, which is backed up by some rockin’ classics, including George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone,” which serves as Christine’s all-too-apt theme song.
Plus, come out before the movie for shorts and TV episodes inspired by the master of horror with our Stephen King pre-show, starting at 6 pm.
Need more killer automobiles in your life? Want to help The Heavy Anchor even more? Then grab a ticket to the second half of our VEHICULAR MAYHEM double feature, Maximum Overdrive!
