Free live music in Historic Downtown Colfax — September 26th closes out the summer with SteelHorse Stampede, country and southern rock from a Nashville Star top-10 finalist, on a closed-down Main Street in the Sierra Foothills.No tickets. No cover. Just show up.
Johnny D — the front man of SteelHorse Stampede — earned a top-10 spot on Nashville Star and has shared stages with Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Joe Diffie, and Tracy Byrd. His sound is country and southern rock with an edge: "This Ain't Your Granddad's Country." Five shows into the summer, we're closing the season the only way that makes sense — loud, proud, and on Main Street.
Opening the night is Alison Bohannon — an Auburn-based singer-songwriter who plays Americana, blues, and folk with the kind of raw honesty that stops people in their tracks. She's a fixture on stages across the Sierra Foothills and she's one of ours. Come early.
This is the finale. Find your spot in the grass, look around at your neighbors, and celebrate what this community pulled off together.
