One day. One stage. A whole town of music.Iron Horse Music Festival takes over Main Street in Historic Colfax for a free, all-ages celebration of blues, roots, and Americana. Gates open at 2pm — bring a chair or blanket, grab something from a local food truck, and settle in for an afternoon and evening of live music.
Headlining is Achilles Wheel Trio, Northern California's own high-voltage americana rock outfit — four-part harmonies, jam-band stretch, and a rhythm section built like a locomotive. Bob Woods Trio brings front-porch acoustic storytelling, trading old railroad ballads for brand new songs. And Pinkie Rideau, a Blues Hall of Famer with a smoky, soulful voice, opens the day slow and warm before lifting the whole street. More names dropping soon.
Free community entry. Kids 12 and under free.
Iron Horse is made possible by a festival grant from the Levitt Foundation — the same national foundation that believed in this town of 2,200 not once, but twice.
