Commander has always been a large part of the M:tG scene here at the store, and it is time for our next league! We are going to do things a little differently this time around, and are excited to provide this unique experience here at Hot Spring's most diverse game store! With this, we have multiple goals in mind:
-Promote a relaxed and inclusive event where the results of winning and losing do not matter.
-Focus on the "Gathering" aspect of M:tG which we feel does not receive enough focus.
Start time: 6pm every Wednesday from 9/30 through 11/18
Entry: FREE
Power Level: Bracket 3
Unique Features: Partners are mandatory! This will be an event where all players are allowed to treat any Legendary creature as though it has "partner". Of course, creatures with partner are allowed but we want to see your creativity, bring something unique!
Prizes: With 10 players, we will start with $200 in store credit spread out in the event. With every 10 additional players we will add another $100 to the pool.
Point Scoring: Winning and losing does not account for a thing in this league! Scoring will be done as follows:
-Attendance each week: 3 points
-Each game played(maximum 2): 1 point each
-Players will vote at the conclusion of the event for their favorite combinations of partners, and points will be tallied to determine final standings.
*Top 4(also 2 raffled) will be the first to get their hands on our newest playmat! It is the third installment of "Sir Staniel's Adventures" featuring Weeble, Wobble, and Zuzu! The header image is the new playmat!
-Expectations:
-Be respectful of your opponents and the game
-Leave the politics, this is NOT cEDH.
-HAVE FUN!
-There will be a weekly global effect revealed at the onset of every week. Think Planechase, but we will make it unique as possible! Every week will bring a unique atmosphere to your games.
