The blue thread of our NOPD runs through every fold that is the fabric of our city. Officers blend into every gathering, concert, festival, and parade. They are the blue shirts giving directions, keeping intersections safe, guarding entrances, providing escorts, delivering barricades, and deterring bad actors.
This year, working together with NOPD, we have made incredible progress in advancing criminal justice. Crime is trending downward for all major offenses and special events are trending upward.
The NOPJF will continue to not only hold the line but - in partnership with you, our ally in the public and private sector - to make progress toward our shared endeavor of making New Orleans a safer place to live, work, and visit.
