About this Event
Join us at the Physicians’ Gallery on the last Wednesday of every month at 12.30pm for a curator-led talk exploring some of the objects on display in our gallery.
Our topic for this talk is the wound man. These macabre and intriguing diagrams show figures sliced, stabbed and attacked from all sides. First appearing in European manuscripts in the 1300s, the wound man has been compared to a soldier, a heroic knight from the epic poems, a martyred Christian saint and even a victim of crime.
This 20 minute talk is free, but booking is required. The meeting point is in the Gallery.
