Join us for the third night of sports short film screenings at the Cantor Film Center!
About this Event

For the third night of screenings at the 6th Annual NYU Sports Film Festival, we will be screening our second slate of sports short films that have been selected as finalists for our festival awards, including an Audience Award that will be voted on live by attendees!

Time | 4:45-7:30pm – Seating starts at 4:30pm

About the Awards: The 2026 NYUSFF prizes include screenings, $4k+ in monetary awards, professional mentorship, and TV broadcast & streaming opportunities.

| NYUSFF Grand Jury Prize |
Our jury of industry professionals will select one film that best embodies the spirit of the festival.

| NYUSFF Audience Award |
The audience award will be voted on live by all NYUSFF attendees.

| SNY Special Selection |
Three films selected by our jury will broadcast during an hour-long television special on SportsNet New York (SNY).

There will also be awards for each category, including NYU and Open Doc as well as NYU and Open Narrative. Our Pitch Contest and Photography Competition categories will also feature monetary awards and exclusive prizes offered by our partners.

Theater Capacity: As all our events are 100% free, we don't reserve specific seats per guest as they are instead claimed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early arrival is the best way to assure a seat for you and company.

NYU Campus: Whie events will be held in New York University buildings and facilities, non-NYU community can still attend upon getting a (free) "Non-NYU" ticket more than 24 hours in advance of the events.
