About this Event
Dear Friends,
In observance of Yom HaShoah and Yom HaZicharon, we are honored to invite you to a special talk with Rezarta Tabaku, public speaker, author, and leadership guide, whose work is deeply shaped by her Albanian heritage.
Rezarta will share a powerful story rooted in Besa, the Albanian code of honor that calls for protecting others and standing by one’s word, even at great personal risk.
During World War II, Albania was one of the few countries in Europe where the Jewish population was protected. Many Albanian families, including members of Rezarta’s own, sheltered Jewish men, women, and children, risking their lives not for recognition but because Besa demanded it.
This evening offers a space for remembrance, reflection, and dialogue—an opportunity to consider what these acts of quiet courage teach us today about responsibility, trust, and standing together in times of fear. We warmly invite you to join us for this meaningful program.
A light reception will follow
Please RSVP in advance, as space is limited.
We look forward to seeing you
