Spooky Saturday in Rowntree Park! Join us for some Halloween family fun with a nature twist in Rowntree Park!
Spooky Saturday is back for another year, with a relaxed outdoor session full of potions, trails, crafts and creations for little witches and wizards.
We'll start with a story before families head off to explore the activities at their own pace. Expect things like:
🧪 Potion creating
👻 A haunted hunt around the park
🌳 Clay Tree Gargoyles
🪄 Wand making
🎃 Halloween and nature-inspired crafts
Activities are mostly aimed at children aged 2–11, with different ages getting different things from the session.
Start times: 10am or 10.30am - staggered start
Allow around 1.5 hours
Tickets required for children only - accompanying adults are free
Costumes (or just a touch of Halloween!) are very welcome, but this is an outdoor event, so dressing for the weather is most important. Expect the possibility of mud, clay and general autumnal messiness!
Friends of Rowntree Park members save £2 per child ticket. It's only £10 to support the Friends of Rowntree Park - see our website for details, why not join and save on this event!
Spooky Saturday is one of our popular volunteer-run family events and places are limited. Any money raised goes straight back into the work of Friends of Rowntree Park, helping us care for and improve the park.
