About this Event
SPOKEN DUB MEETS NEW YORK CITY! 🎤🔥🎶
Experience Spoken Dub, a new live art form created by Heru Ofori-Atta, bringing together the power of African spoken-word oral tradition, African American Delta Blues and Caribbean Roots Reggae Dub.
After 15 years away from professional spoken word, Heru returns with something completely new—an experience designed to reconnect artistic traditions across the African Diaspora through poetry, rhythm, guitar and Dub.
Joining Heru will be Jalani Horton, aka Lybia’Sun of Bambu Station, and acclaimed Blues guitarist Michael “Muata” Moss, with special guests Ras Osagyefo and Jashua Sa-Ra.
This is more than a poetry performance. More than a concert. Spoken Dub is meant to be experienced LIVE.
