Spirit Voices

Please note this event starts at 3:30 PM
The folk opera, ”Spirit Voices”, is a work in progress telling the story of intergenerational trauma spanning five generations. The story is triggered by the death of the first three children of Anna Yarecky, a Ukrainian immigrant who arrived in Canada in 1909. She went on to have ten more children and survived great hardship and harsh conditions. Her granddaughter comes to realize many years later that her grandmother’s trauma is the source of her chronic illness, and with this realization comes the possibility of release and healing for her entire lineage. This work is an exploration and meeting ground for this healing.
