🤠 SPECIAL GUEST WORKSHOP WITH MARK PAULINO
Ever wanted to learn from the choreographer behind some of your favourite line dances? Now’s your chance!
We're bringing Mark Paulino, US-based choreographer and creator of Honky Tonk Way, Rude Dude and Bay Slow Down, to Low Places, Birmingham, for a special one-night-only workshop!
Join us on Thursday 3rd December for an evening of improver+ line dancing, with the chance to learn from the man behind the dances we love.
📍 Location: Low Places Dive Bar, Birmingham, B9 4AR
📅 Date: Thursday 3rd December
⏰ Time: Workshop 7:00pm–9:30pm | Social dancing until 10:30pm
🎟️ Tickets: £10 + booking fee via Skiddle
🔥 Improver+ level - not suitable for absolute beginners
🍹 Spectators: Free entry to the bar – no workshop ticket needed
🤠 Learn from Mark Paulino
Mark will be taking us through a selection of fun, upbeat improver+ level dances, giving you the opportunity to learn from an internationally recognised choreographer while adding some new favourites to your repertoire.
This workshop is aimed at dancers with some experience, so you'll need to be comfortable picking up steps and patterns. If you learn dances quickly and enjoy a challenge, you're welcome to join us!
🏆 SPECIAL FEATURE: BABY SLOW DOWN
We're giving Baby Slow Down the spotlight, with a dedicated workshop led by Mark himself!
Baby Slow Down is one of the official dances for our Stomp It Out 2 line dance competition, making this a brilliant opportunity for competitors in the Advanced category to learn the dance directly from its choreographer.
Already know the dance? Even better! This session is all about fine-tuning your technique, polishing the details and getting competition-ready.
Please note: Baby Slow Down will not be taught entirely from scratch, so you'll be expected to have some prior knowledge of the dance. However, if you're confident picking up choreography quickly, you should still be able to get involved.
💃 And afterwards... social dancing!
Once the workshops finish, stick around as we'll be opening up the floor for social dancing and requests until 10:30pm. Expect plenty of chances to practise what you've learned and dance the night away with the Honkytonk Highway crew.
🤠 Who is this workshop for?
This one's for improver+ dancers who are ready to challenge themselves, learn new choreography and take their dancing to the next level.
Whether you're a regular on the social floor, preparing for competition, or simply a huge fan of Mark's dances, we'd love to see you there!
