About this Event
Spanish Sip & Social Tertulia: Monthly Immersive Café
Sip & Social Spanish Tertulia is a monthly evening gathering where adults come together to practice Spanish, discover Latin culture, and meet interesting new people — all over a glass of wine, a cup of tea, or cool beverage. Every evening includes a fun cultural activity (Mexican Lotería, music challenge, conversation games, trivia) followed by guided group conversation.
An evening social experience with Spanish at the heart of it — relaxed, welcoming, and fun, not a class!
THIS IS NOT A FREE EVENT. Please purchase tickets on the Helen + Hildegard website (https://www.helenandhildegard.com/events).
Each session is facilitated by Claudia Garcia, a Mexican-born Spanish instructor with 8+ years of experience.
All Spanish levels are welcome — total beginners included.
Activities for September & October sessions:
- 🃏 Mexican Lotería — traditional card game with Spanish vocabulary and conversation prompts
- 🤔 ¿Cómo se dice...? — guess the Spanish expression from an English description
- 🍬 Dulces Mexicanos — try traditional Mexican sweets and describe them in Spanish
