About this Event
Sound Healing Meditation
An evening of rest, reflection & connection
Join us for an intimate evening of sound healing meditation at the beautiful Bridgewater Yoga studio, overlooking the water.
This 90-minute experience is an invitation to consciously slow down, step away from the stimulation of everyday life, and create space to reconnect with yourself.
Through collective breathwork, gentle guided meditation, live sound, and Reiki energy healing, we'll explore what it feels like to simply be present with our bodies, emotions, and internal world, without needing to do, achieve, or figure anything out.
Whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice, this experience is open to you.
What is Sound Healing Meditation?
Sound healing is a meditative practice that uses sound, rhythm, and vibration to support relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional awareness.
For many of us, sitting in silence can feel challenging. Our minds wander, thoughts become louder, and we find ourselves thinking about everything except the present moment.
Sound offers something for the mind to gently focus on.
Rather than trying to force your thoughts to stop, you're invited to follow the sounds as they unfold, allowing your attention to return to the present whenever your mind wanders.
As the mind settles, you may find it easier to become aware of your body, emotions, and internal experiences without needing to analyze or change them.
There is no particular state you need to reach, and no right or wrong way to experience the journey.
What to Expect
We'll begin by welcoming you into the space with a warm cup of tea and time to settle in.
Together, we'll open the experience with collective breathwork, gentle movement, and guided meditation to help us become more present in our bodies.
From there, you'll be invited to lie down or find a comfortable position as we move into an immersive live sound journey, accompanied by Reiki energy healing.
We'll close with an opportunity for quiet reflection, questions, and connection for anyone who wishes to share.
This is a trauma-informed, beginner-friendly experience, with a support worker present throughout. You're always welcome to adjust your position, keep your eyes open, or participate in the ways that feel comfortable for you.
There is absolutely no pressure to socialize or share.
In fact, this experience is especially welcoming to those attending on their own. Think of it as an opportunity to take yourself on a little date, to spend intentional time with yourself, without needing to engage with anyone else.
You're equally welcome to attend with a friend, partner, or group.
Meet Your Facilitator
Hi, I'm Tala!
I'm the founder of Talapatheia, a space dedicated to self-exploration, emotional awareness, and reconnecting with ourselves through intentional practices.
My work brings together sound, meditation, somatic practices, and energy healing to create opportunities for people to slow down, explore their inner world, and experience themselves beyond the demands of everyday life.
I'm also currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health at Niagara College, continuing to deepen my understanding of mental health, trauma-informed care, and the importance of creating spaces where people feel supported in their experiences.
My intention is not to tell you how you should feel, but to create an environment where you have the space to meet yourself exactly as you are.
I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
