About this Event
ABOUT THE EVENT
Soul Therapy returns for our final event of the year! We're gassed to be back the BBE Store, on Saturday 28th November for our usual dose of soul healing sounds and community. We follow on from August's summer dance, bringing you only the finest deep and soulful sounds.
For our 5th Soul Therapy, we'll be joined by the amazing , who came to our first ever Soul Therapy when he moved to London. We got to know him and found our sounds were aligned in many ways. Tré is a stellar selector, a wonderful soul and someone we can't wait to hear spin at Soul Therapy. Of course, alongside Tré, we have Soul Therapy faithful and co-founders and taking you on a sonic journey.
Together, all four selectors specialise in creating unforgettable journeys through deep, soulful, gospel, US house, and modern global sounds. As normal, the night will culminates in a high energy b4b between all the selectors, ending the evening with elevated spirits. If you were at our last event, you'll remember!
Forever rooted in the uplifting and emotive qualities of soulful house, the event will evoke a sense of unity, joy, and rhythm, taking attendees on a transcendent journey from the first beat to the last drop.
ABOUT THE BBE STORE
is a pioneer in curating and sharing high-quality music, and this event aligns with the store’s commitment to authentic, soul-driven sounds. Synonymous with quality, both in terms of music and culture, the store itself is a carefully curated space that celebrates vinyl and showcases a range of genres from soul to jazz to electronic music.
It’s a place where people come not just to buy records, but to experience the culture behind the music. Unlike larger, impersonal venues, The BBE Store offers a more intimate, down-to-earth environment that allows for a closer connection between the performers and the audience.
SAVE THE BBE STORE
Over the past year, several businesses on the street, including The BBE Store , have faced a steady stream of noise complaints. Working with Hackney Council, they have installed noise limiters and acoustic curtains, among other measures. Sadly, Despite all this, a small group of residential neighbours has kept on complaining, and there seems to be no room for compromise.
As a result, they've now received a Notice of Application to review their licence on the grounds of “prevention of crime and disorder” and “prevention of public nuisance”. Fighting this review means paying for solicitors, planning consultants, preparing evidence and representing ourselves at a licensing hearing, and the costs are quickly getting out of their control.
You may be asking, how can I help? The BBE Store has always been free to enter, apart from the odd New Year’s Eve, and it always will be. Some of the world’s biggest DJs have played here, and every time it’s been open to the public for free. They're now asking if you could dig into your pockets and donate whatever you can. No amount is too small (or too big!).
