About this Event
Everyone is invited!
Join us for a free evening of honest conversation about relationships, healing, and healthy connection. While the conversation centers on the experiences men face, all genders are welcome and encouraged to be part of the conversation.
Men are often taught to hold it all in. Stress at home, conflict with a partner, the weight of co-parenting, and the silence that follows can take a real toll. Soul Talk makes room to say it out loud — creating space for men to be heard and for everyone to listen, learn and connect.
Whether you’re a man navigating these experiences, a woman or loved one looking to better understand and support the men in your life, or simply someone who wants to learn more about mental health, relationships, and healing, you are welcome at Relationship Soul Talk.
Relationship Soul Talk is a free community evening presented by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners and The City of Grace. It is part of Soul Talk, the county’s initiative to bring mental health conversations, resources and support directly to residents.
The evening will begin with a red-carpet welcome, music and networking, followed by a panel featuring community voices Nate Cottman, David Cooley and Sarah Shorter.
Together, they will explore conversations that families and communities do not always have in public:
- How conflict and co-parenting struggles can affect mental health
- Men as survivors of domestic violence
- Why suicide rates among men are high — and what can help
- Building healthier relationships, communication and support systems
Bring your questions. Drop them in the Q&A box when you arrive, or ask them live during the open session. Stay afterward for hors d’oeuvres, mocktails and an opportunity to connect with neighbors, community partners and local support services.
Come as you are. Listen without judgment. Leave with a little more understanding, connection and support.
