The Soiree is honored to be a part of FAR west this year in Portland!
Join us on Saturday, October 17th at our official conference open mic. Come play a song for everyone at the conference and get exposed to a diverse and supportive community. This is an amazing opportunity for our members (you).
Purchase a ticket ahead of time by donation and you will be guaranteed a slot to play. We will take walk ups day of event until full (around 22 people). Come listen and check out the conference regardless!

Open Mic doors open at 2:30pm for sign ups.
The open mic is from 3-5pm
Just come to the hotel conference center and you will be directed.
WHAT IS FAR-WEST?
FAR-West (Folk Alliance Region West) is a community-based non-profit organization that serves as the western regional chapter of Folk Alliance International. It is designed for performing artists, venue presenters, festival bookers, DJs, and dedicated music supporters spanning across the western U.S. states and western Canadian provinces. The organization embraces a diverse ecosystem of contemporary and traditional folk, roots, indigenous, and Americana acoustic music.
The annual provides a dynamic platform for professional growth and community building. It offers formal, juried official showcases and intimate after-hours private room showcases for artists looking to get booked. For all attendees, it features educational panels, workshops on music industry topics (like sync licensing and streaming revenue), open mics, continuous 24/7 jamming, and the annual "Best of the West" awards luncheon.
HOW TO JOIN
Soiree members are invited to the open mic part of the conference for free/donation. We encourage you to attend the entire event, though! This is an incredible opportunity for you and your music.
