🦅 SOMERSET ADVENTURE – GLASTONBURY & THE STARLING MURMURATIONS📅 Saturday 28th November 2026
Fancy a day of walking, exploring, good company and one of nature’s most spectacular displays? Then come and join us for a Somerset adventure!
We’re heading to Glastonbury and RSPB Ham Wall, hoping to witness the incredible starling murmurations as thousands upon thousands of birds take to the skies in a breathtaking display.
🥾 Part 1 – Exploring Glastonbury
Meet: 10:00am
📍 Silver Street Car Park, Glastonbury
💷 Parking: £6.50 all day
We’ll start with an approximately 4-mile circular walk, taking in some of Glastonbury’s interesting sights and surrounding countryside, including the famous Glastonbury Tor.
There will be plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos and enjoy the views.
☕ Part 2 – Glastonbury Town
After our walk, we’ll head back into town for a wander around the shops, cafés and pubs.
There should be plenty of options if you fancy a spot of lunch, a drink or simply exploring what Glastonbury has to offer.
🦅 Part 3 – The Starling Murmurations
Aim to arrive at RSPB Ham Wall around 3:00pm.

💷 Parking: £5 for non-RSPB members.
We’ll have time to explore some of the beautiful reed beds and nature trails before making our way to the viewing location.
The starlings move around from day to day, so their roosting location can change. I’ll keep an eye on things and update everyone in the group on where we need to head.
Hopefully, we’ll finish the day watching one of Britain’s most amazing wildlife spectacles as the starlings gather and perform their incredible aerial displays before settling down for the evening.
A few things to know
* Comfortable walking footwear is recommended.
* Bring suitable clothing for the weather.
* Bring food and drink or money for refreshments.
* Don’t forget your camera!
* The starling murmuration is a natural event, so sightings and displays cannot be guaranteed.

As with all my events, these are inclusive and friendly occasions. Everyone is welcome, and you’re more than welcome to bring guests along, provided I know they’re coming.
Just remember, The Single Explorers is a singles group. I’m not here to police anybody’s relationship status, but the group is intended for single people looking to meet others, enjoy adventures and make new connections.
The idea is simple: get outdoors, explore new places, meet good people and have a laugh along the way!
