Start your youth work journey with confidence.

Are you passionate about supporting young people? Whether you're completely new to youth work, volunteering with young people, or looking to build your confidence and understanding, this two-day Introduction to Youth Work course is the ideal place to start.

Delivered by Turtle CYP, this interactive and engaging training will introduce you to the core values, principles and practical skills that underpin effective youth work. You'll gain a solid foundation of knowledge, explore real-life practice, and leave feeling more confident in your ability to support young people in a safe, positive and meaningful way.

During the course, you'll explore:

  • What youth work is and why it matters
  • The key purposes, values and principles of youth work
  • The skills and qualities of an effective youth worker
  • Building positive relationships through communication and engagement
  • Understanding adolescent development
  • Safeguarding responsibilities and best practice
