In the hands of a master artist, the organ becomes an orchestra, a choir, a whisper, and a thunderclap. The 30th anniversary celebration of the Cliburn Organ culminates in an evening showcasing the Cliburn organ in a solo recital revealing the instrument in full color. The Cliburn Organ, handcrafted by Casavant Frères, is described as the largest organ of French aesthetics in the world — a monumental instrument shaped for beauty, brilliance, and grandeur. Dr. Welch, who is well-acquainted with the Cliburn organ, returns to showcase the endless possibilities of color in this final program of the series.
This recital offers an intimate yet majestic encounter with one performer and an extraordinary world of sound.
Join us for an evening of artistry, elegance, and musical imagination. A grand finale for a grand instrument.
Featured Artists: Bradley Hunter Welch, organist, Resident Organist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Artist in Residence at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dallas.
