Are you a pioneer, initiator, activist, community person, passionate about making this world a better place?Do you want to work together to flourish initiatives that take care of the earth, the people and fairly share the natural abundance?
Do you dream of a collaborative approach that is based on empowerment, in which no dominant person just tells others what to do, but where everyone’s input is being heard and valued?
Do you dream of working together with people without having never-ending meetings that lead to nowhere, but in a way that makes goal-oriented action possible to make your collective vision come true?
Make that dream come true with Sociocracy!
==== WHAT IS SOCIOCRACY ====
Sociocracy has had over 100 years of experience in collaborative working. It has now been unleashed into the wider world and is quickly being picked up by social activists, eco villages, co-housing projects, and various other socially minded community groups and projects.
Sociocracy is a method of democratic organizational governance that forms the basis of Extinction Rebellion’s 7th Principle of actively mitigating for power by breaking down hierarchies for more equitable participation. Sociocracy enables any group to carry out compassionate and inclusive governance by providing equal voice, feedback and respect for everybody’s needs and emotional requirements.
This two-day event will invite us to do a deep dive into Sociocracy with the core of this workshop presenting a guide to efficiently make clear and collaborative decisions by co-creating a vision of where we want to go along with a good enough for now safe enough to try step by step way to get there. This workshop is for anyone looking to work more effectively and mitigate for power as a group.
Over the period of the course you will put socioracy into action, and will therefore see it in action as well as explore the theory.
