This September, Black Girls Smile Atlanta hosts a silent walk in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. No small talk required — just movement, presence, and the quiet strength of walking alongside women who understand.

This walk is part of our five-part Walking Wellness Series, blending light movement with community and reflection. Each month brings a new theme, a new conversation, and one more stamp toward your BGS passport.

What to Expect:

• A silent, guided walk — held together by presence, not words
• This month's reflection: "Who checks in on you, the way you check on everyone else?"
• A space to just be, without performing okay-ness

Dress Code: Wear Purple or White
