Small Explorers Learning Together is the Museum’s program for families with children ages 1-5. Hundreds of families have experienced the magic of exploring the Museum in these sessions and now you can too! Classes are offered once a month on the 2nd Saturday at 9:30 am and are limited to 20 children per class.
November is Native American Heritage Month! Come celebrate by learning more about Native American dance traditions including Jingle dance. We will begin by reading “Jingle Dancer” by Cynthia Leitich Smith. In the museum’s A Much Moved People gallery, we will see an example of regalia and talk more about how dance is important to community. We will also talk about what dance is and how it makes us feel. After the gallery walk, there will be active play with movement and music in the museum’s STEAM center.
