Learn what drives business value, what buyers look for and how to build with the end in mind with Alexia McCuan of Profit Pulse.
About this Event

Most business owners spend years building their company without stopping to ask one important question: What is it actually worth?

Join the Southwest Michigan First Chamber on Tuesday, October 20, as we welcome Alexia McCuan of Profit Pulse for a practical Small & Mighty Business Series session focused on the factors that truly drive business value.

Whether a sale or transition is years away or not currently on your radar, understanding what makes a business valuable can help you make smarter decisions today. Alexia will break down what buyers and investors actually look for, why time and effort invested do not always translate directly to value and how owners can start building with the end in mind.

Topics will include:

  • Why most owners wait too long to think about what their business is worth, and what that can cost them
  • The specific, measurable factors buyers and investors use to value a business
  • Why effort and years invested matter less to valuation than many owners expect
  • What it looks like to build with the end in mind, years before a sale or transition
  • How advisors and professionals can use these drivers to have better financial conversations with their clients

Whether you own a business, advise business owners or simply want a clearer understanding of what creates long-term value, this session will give you practical insight into looking at a business through the eyes of a potential buyer or investor.

The event will take place from noon–1:00 p.m. at Southwest Michigan First. Parking is included in the Southwest Michigan First parking structure.

Lunch is optional and available for an additional cost during registration.

The Small & Mighty Business Series is part of the Chamber Education Series. The Chamber Education Series also includes the Quarterly Business Breakfast Roundtable Series and is proudly supported by .
