About this Event
The entire meal is free of animal products (and also gluten free, except for the pita bread and baklava). Shekamoo is presenting special ingredients for our dinner, such as dairy-free feta cheese, and vegan butter. The pita bread is also dairy-free.
For the main course, Roasted Tomato and Eggplant Stew, the veggies are grilled first to incorporate smokey notes, then stewed with sauteed onions, and served over a bed of saffron-infused basmati rice. Fresh herbs, raw onion, feta cheese and pita bread will be on the side.
Shirazi salad (diced cucumber, tomato, and red onion) is added, with roasted garlic hummus. The dessert will be baklava using vegan butter topped with pistachios. The price includes soft drinks (soda or flavored/sparkling water). Beer and wine will be available for separate purchase.
All ages are welcome. Plenty of free parking available.
