About this Event
*Please note that this workshop will take place on 11 December, then again on 15 January for those who missed out on the first session.
The transition to a regenerative economy will be won or lost based on the choices we make today. For designers, this means that the decisions we make require an ability to critically interpret, question and apply environmental evidence.
In this one-day workshop, we will explore net zero by closely looking at how life cycle data is requested, made, verified, packaged and then travels as an influencing force through institutions and to the public.
The course welcomes design professionals who wish to improve their understanding of environmental data and reporting in context.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand contemporary debates and policy shaping discussions around net zero design
- Recognise key concepts related to life cycle assessment and environmental product declaration
- Evaluate opportunities and challenges related to data maturity, methodology, and greenwash in organisational carbon reporting
- Consider a range of net zero risks and dependencies through a selection of possible global scenarios
