Join us for an evening exploring skilled trades and apprenticeship systems in Germany and Alberta — and discover a brand-new opportunity funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The event will introduce the Alberta-Germany Skilled Trades Mobility Pilot, creating opportunities for Alberta skilled tradespeople to gain international work experience in Germany, while giving Edmonton skilled trades businesses the opportunity to host skilled tradespeople from Germany.
Who should attend?
- Current and future skilled tradespeople (18 - 35 years) interested in gaining work experience in Germany
- Edmonton skilled trades businesses interested in hosting a skilled tradesperson from Germany
- Industry representatives, training providers and others interested in international skilled trades mobility are also welcome

Connect directly with representatives from the Stuttgart Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer Region Stuttgart) and hear first-hand about the German system and visit information desks from different organisations to learn more about opportunities and support.

The Alberta–Baden-Württemberg Skilled Trades Mobility Pilot connects skilled tradespeople, training institutions and businesses across Alberta and Baden-Württemberg to create new opportunities for international exchange and work experience.
