We are going to sketch at Fernbank. The museum opened in 1992 and has a massive dinosaur fossil and other exhibits. Sketching inside requires museum admission. Please see their website for details. https://www.fernbankmuseum.org Advance admission is a little cheaper and they do have some discounts. Entry fee includes a movie which is cool if you have some extra time. There’s also a nature trail behind the museum (requires admission) which offers more exterior opportunities. There are also some benches in front of the museum if you don’t want to go inside. We’ll meet at the museum entrance, outside, at 2:00. If it’s raining or really cold, we’ll be inside. Parking is pretty easy, there are two lots right there. If those are full, the fernbank website shows where alternate parking is located. This museum is a gem in Atlanta! When I went by there today it was very lively, although one exhibit was closed. I also saw the movie about T-Rex. But plenty of very unique sketching opportunities! I look forward to seeing everyone there and meeting some new people. I’ll have some urban sketchers signage to help identify our group. Please let me know if you have any questions.
