Join Dr Eugene Costello for a walk in the Hag’s Glen and see historical human settlements and discuss land-use in the uplands throughout history. Eugene has studied these landscapes and their cultural significance and is the author of Transhumance and the Making of Ireland's uplands 1550-1900.
Please note, this event is a strenuous 4-hour hike and the terrain is wet and uneven. Attendees need a good level of fitness. Hiking boots, water, waterproofs and a lunch are required.
