This week, we will explore GROUNDING, MOBILITY & STEADY STRENGTH.
As we move further into autumn, it is a lovely time to slow down a little, reconnect with our bodies, and build a routine that leaves us feeling energised rather than exhausted.
Last week, we explored embodied movement and the intelligence of the body, discovering the importance of listening to our sensations, moving with awareness, and finding the balance between movement and stillness.
This week, we will continue that exploration by bringing our attention to three essential elements of our practice: grounding, mobility, and strength.
Grounding helps us feel connected to the earth beneath us and more present in our bodies. Mobility invites us to explore our range of movement with curiosity and ease, creating space where we may feel stiffness or restriction. Steady strength helps us build stability and confidence without relying on force or pushing beyond our limits.
The invitation is to find a balance between effort and ease—to move in a way that supports us, rather than leaves us depleted.
We will also make space for free movement, reminding ourselves how important it is to move beyond fixed sequences and expectations. Sometimes, we become so focused on following instructions or achieving a posture that we forget to listen to what our bodies are asking for.
Free movement allows us to pause, explore, stretch, shift, and move intuitively. There is no perfect shape to achieve and no specific way to move. We simply create space to notice what feels good, what feels needed, and what wants to unfold.
Throughout the week, we will balance stronger flows with gentler, restorative moments, allowing the body to build strength while also receiving the rest it needs.
Through this practice, we ask ourselves:
What helps me feel grounded and supported?
Can I build strength without creating unnecessary tension?
How can I create more space and freedom in my movement?
Am I moving in a way that nourishes me, or am I simply pushing through?
This week is an invitation to move with stability, breathe with ease, and create space to let go.
We will see each other again this Friday at 6pm @BROEI. Through mindful movement, mobility, grounding, and moments of stillness, we will explore how to feel both stronger and more connected to ourselves.
Ready to ground, move, and reconnect?
Your intention for the week:
“I create space for strength, stillness, and renewal.”
Before each practice, take a moment to pause and ask yourself:
What does my body need today?
Let the answer guide you. Some days, you may need to move with energy and build strength. On others, you may need to soften, stretch, and slow down.
There is no need to approach every day in the same way. A balanced practice is not about doing more; it is about learning what supports you.
Guiding principle:
Root down to rise.
Move with curiosity.
Build strength with patience.
Breathe without forcing.
Soften without giving up.
Let movement create space,
let strength create stability,
and let stillness bring you back to yourself.
Ground the body. Free the movement. Renew your energy.
We will leave the noisy world outside and take this time for ourselves—to reconnect with the body, find a little more ease in our movements, and build strength from a place of awareness rather than pressure.
