About this Event
THE KNIGHT THE WIZARD THE GIANT AND THE MORRIGAN
Arthur is dead. Excalibur remains. And the wrong hands could turn a legend into a nightmare.
What happens after the king falls - when the stories of glory end, but one last duty remains?
In the aftermath of King Arthur’s death, Sir Bedivere must return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. But the sword that once embodied a kingdom’s hope has become the object of a darker ambition: The Morrigan intends to seize it and raise a devastating army.
Drawing on Arthurian legend, Ben Etchells brings together sword and sorcery, fantasy and horror in a story where a knight’s loyalty is measured by what he must surrender. The battle is no longer simply to wield the legendary sword. It is to prevent its power from becoming a weapon of destruction.
Charlie Rich plays Sir Bedivere alongside Dan Hildebrand as Merlin. Familiar to audiences from Game of Thrones, Deadwood and Sons of Anarchy, Hildebrand steps into another world of dangerous power and uncertain allegiances.
