**What is a Shubz?**
"Shubeen" or Shubz for short, is a term commonly used in Caribbean English, especially in Jamaica, and it refers to a small, informal, often makeshift bar or shop where alcoholic beverages are sold. Shubeens are typically casual and can be found in various settings, ranging from urban neighborhoods to rural areas.
The term is rooted in the local slang and culture of the Caribbean region, and Shubeens are known for their relaxed atmosphere, where people gather to socialize, enjoy drinks, and listen to music. It's a term that reflects the informal and community-oriented aspects of certain small-scale drinking establishments in the Caribbean.
