Shibari is so much more than sexy! It is meditative, creative, tactile and intellectually challenging. Everyone can benefit from its practice whether you're seeking a creative outlet, increased intimacy with your partner or simply wish to bring more intention and mindfulness into your life.
But why take a real-life class? While there are many online tutorial resources out there, the only way to learn things like tension and get actual feedback is from in-person instruction. Additionally, many shibari and rope classes require some basic knowledge such a non-collapsing single column tie in order for them to be beneficial. This class is designed to give you that foundation so that you can continue your journey along whatever path you choose!
This class includes:
- 1.5 hours of small group instruction
- one admission to a Practice Lab to practice your new skills ($15 value)

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY OWN ROPES?
Nope, we will have ropes available for use. However, if you have your own ropes, feel free to bring them. Additionally if you don't have ropes and would like some of your own, we will have rope available for purchase.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THIS?
Make sure you eat something so your brain is well-fueled! Also, be sure to practice good hygiene beforehand so everyone is comfortable with the closeness shibari requires :)
WHAT DO I WEAR?
You want form-fitting clothes you can move freely in. Think yoga-attire! Just avoid anything too silky/slippery as it may make it harder to keep ropes where you place them.
DO I NEED A TYING PARTNER?
Nope. Everything you will learn in 101 can be tied on yourself. However, if you'd like to bring a friend/partner, they will need a separate ticket. You can book another spot and select "purchasing for someone else" to fill out their info.
