Join Melbourne Working Holiday Girls at Polly Bar for a packing party supporting It’s in the Bag,
Share the Dignity’s Christmas appeal. Share the Dignity is an Australian charity working to end period poverty. This Christmas, we’re aiming to fill 50 handbags for women experiencing homelessness or staying in domestic violence refuges.
🎁 What will happen on the day?
We’ll pack each handbag together with period products, toiletries and a few little luxuries. Then we’ll write a personal note to the woman who’ll receive it and tuck it inside her bag. 💌
Once the last bag is packed, stick around at Polly Bar for cocktails and a couple of games. Come solo or bring a friend! 🍸🎲
👜 What to bring
⭐ A handbag - new or pre-loved and in excellent condition.
⭐ New, unopened toiletries - soap, body wash or roll-on deodorant will complement the essentials our donors are bringing.
⭐ An optional Christmas treat - pick a little luxury from the list below if you’d like to add something extra.
🎀 Little luxuries you could add
⭐ New makeup, a hairbrush, face wipes, wet wipes or tissues.
⭐ A book, stationery, jewellery or a gift voucher.
⭐ A new towel, new socks, new undies or a small umbrella.
Please leave out food, drinks, pharmaceutical items such as condoms, throat lozenges or paracetamol, and loose pads, tampons or unsealed menstrual cups. Please also leave out razors, knives and scissors, except for scissors included in a sewing or manicure kit.
💗 Who’s involved?
⭐ Inoya is donating menstrual cups and reusable sanitary pads.

⭐ Essendon Dental Group is donating toothbrushes and toothpaste.
⭐ Salon Cosmetics is donating assorted hair products
⭐ Polly Bar is hosting our packing party.

This event is free, but everyone attending must bring a handbag and new, unopened toiletries so we can pack a bag together. Your handbag can be new or pre-loved, as long as it’s in excellent condition. A little Christmas luxury is entirely optional. 💕
