In clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Ahona Guha takes readers on an illuminating journey through the psychology of human connection. Drawing on her years of clinical experience, she explores how our earliest relationships shape the connections we form throughout our lives—from family and friendships to romantic relationships and the workplace.


Join Dr. Ahona Guha in conversation with author, psychologist and educator Chris Cheers. Together, they'll explore the ideas behind , discussing how childhood blueprints influence adult behaviour, why some friendships falter while others thrive, and what distinguishes healthy relationships from unhealthy ones. With warmth, clarity, and practical insight, the conversation will uncover the hidden patterns that shape our interactions and offer evidence-based strategies for building stronger, more fulfilling relationships.


About Dr. Ahona Guha:

Dr. Ahona Guha is a clinical and forensic psychologist from Melbourne, Australia and holds a doctorate in clinical and forensic psychology from Swinburne University. Her doctoral research focused on assessing the health and mortality outcomes associated with child sex abuse. She has been embedded in the field of traumatology since.

She works within the public forensic mental health system and maintains a private psychology practice.


About Chris Cheers:

Dr Chris Cheers is a psychologist and author who is passionate about creating accessible and accepting spaces where people become empowered to reach their life goals. Through extensive training and lived experience, Chris has also developed expertise in providing psychology services to artists and the LGBTIQ+ community. Chris published his bestseller The New Rulebook: Notes from a Psychologist to help redefine the way you live with Harper Collins in 2023. Chris also enjoys making the ideas of psychology accessible through the media with appearances on ABC Radio National, Triple J and the 7am Podcast. His writing has been published in Archer Magazine and the Guardian. Chris is a board approved psychology supervisor and holds a PhD in Psychology from La Trobe University.
