Fred Keller, from The Skally Line, will share a solo show featuring stories and original songs about the logging days in Minnesota. Gathered from dusty museum corners, forgotten books, and old timers, you'll hear some wonderful, weird, and nearly forgotten stories spanning the days when timber was king. Accompanied by Fred's original songs and music, you'll go home tapping your feet and smiling.
Fred Keller Bio:
Fred Keller has played music professionally for two decades. He's learned from some of the best mandolin players around. He finds strange and interesting stories from Minnesota's history featuring real folks, and he writes their songs and tells their stories. In 2025 he was awarded a MN State Arts Board grant to fund the production of a book of stories with lyrics, music, and chords to the songs, as well as a companion recording. Both are titled Drifting Down The Kettle.
