With 30 years in media, he works at the intersection of editorial leadership, workflow redesign, and organizational change — turning fear and ambiguity into systems with guardrails and measurement. He also builds and ships his own AI-augmented products, including an independent aviation publication and MacOS apps.

Yumei has over 18 years of experience in market research, beginning her career at an independent research firm before moving into the news media industry. At CNBC, she specialises in audience measurement and insights, working closely with commercial partners to develop thought leadership around topics such as AI, sustainability, and energy. She is also passionate about exploring new and innovative approaches to market research.

Jeremy is an associate editor at The Straits Times and oversees newsroom strategy, tech, product and visualisation teams in the newsroom. He has been a journalist since 2004 and has worked across various sections. His previous roles include foreign editor, lifestyle editor, mobile editor and US bureau chief.

Vishnu Padmanabhan is Asia correspondent and news editor at The Economist. He writes about a variety of issues in developing countries in the region. As news editor, he helps produce Espresso, The Economist‘s daily news briefing. Before joining the paper, Vishnu worked for several years in the development sector in India, in organisations like J-PAL and TechnoServe.
