About this Event
In Guitars and Your Hands, Mark Santa Maria explores three key elements that influence every guitarist’s journey: the different types of guitars we play, the biomechanics of our hands, and how we hear and process sound. By understanding these fundamentals, you’ll gain clearer insight into not just what to play, but how and why you play the way you do.
With over 22 years of experience as a guitarist, performer, and educator, Mark brings a practical and holistic approach to teaching. Trained at LASALLE College of the Arts, he has worked across classical, jazz, blues, and contemporary styles, helping students develop both technical control and musical expression. His teaching focuses on efficient movement, proper technique, and strong listening skills — equipping players to improve without strain while playing with greater intention and confidence.
This session bridges the gap between physical technique and musical awareness, offering tools that apply across all styles and levels.
