From systemic science to personal action: learn to design a carbon-lite & eco-conscious lifestyle in this hands-on strategy workshop.
About this Event

Transform your climate insight into tangible impact.
We know that for many, the "Climate Fresk" was just the beginning of your eco-consciousness journey.
You had a glimpse of the climate science — now it’s the time to translate awareness into climate action that has tangible environmental benefits.

Our workshop approach goes beyond theory; we take a data-driven approach to reducing your personal footprint through consumption tracking.

Our workshop methodology:

Real impact starts with measurable behaviours. Our sustainability consultants have developed a consumption-based calculator, based on validated emissions-factors, to help more accurately track your consumption habits and footprint of your lifestyle:

  • Consumption-Based Accounting: We track emissions from everything you buy and use, regardless of where it was made, providing a more honest picture of your personal consumption footprint while living in Singapore.
  • Localised Data: We utilise Singapore-specific data where available, using official trade data from the CEPII BACI & household consumption data from the Singapore Department of Statistics’ Household Expenditure Survey 2023.
Emission Factors (EFs) are drawn from a combination of Singapore-based sources (e.g., A*STAR, SEFR NetZeroHub) and internationally recognised databases (e.g., US EPA, UK DEFRA, DESNZ, CarbonCloud), selected to approximate emissions where local factors are unavailable.
  • Full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): We account for everything from raw material extraction and international shipping to end-of-life waste management in Singapore.

What you can expect from the workshop:
  1. Understanding the source of our consumption emissions: Did you know the average Singaporean footprint is 24.7 tons? Which is 2.7x higher than the EU personal average, and 12x higher than the 2050 Paris Agreement target. Understanding the sources of our consumption emissions is key to reducing them.
  2. Conduct a personal audit of your consumption emissions: You'll be given the opportunity to have a go at our consumption calculator to find your "big hitters" & a new "emission" budget for yourself.
  3. Changemakers roundtable: Exchange tips & recommendations with your fellow eco-changemakers on ways to sustainably reduce your footprint.
  4. The Climate Pivot art-jamming visionboarding exercise: Design a lifestyle "pivot" that's in line with your values, lifestyle and your new emission budget.
